Anxiety and Stress Reduction using Binaural beats From time to time I get asked if there are any specific Binaural beats to use for helping with Anxiety and Stress, the answer to this is yes. Anxiety and Stress wear many guises, and can creep up on you and before you know it you, your family or your loved ones can be caught up in a downward spiral. If you think you are suffering from Anxiety or Stress, please see your doctor, but if you want to look at helping yourself, Anxiety and Stress Reduction using Binaural beats could just be the way forward. Binaural beats are auditory brainstem responses which originate in the superior olivary nucleus of each hemisphere. They result from the interaction of two different auditory impulses, originating in opposite ears, below 1000 Hz and which differ in frequency between one and 30 Hz (Oster, 1973). Using Binaural Beats you get Rapid, Long-lasting benefits from Anxiety and Stress Reduction, and many other natural side effects of being relaxed and calm. The Alpha frequency is a very relaxing brainwave band, and has proven incredibly effective with Anxiety and Stress disorders.
These affect mind, body and behaviour and are associated with the mind and body, it is like YOU are preparing for action. In your Physical Body, you may notice:
Feeling dizzy / shaky, light-headed; you get that legs feel like jelly feeling You get a dry mouth and find it hard to swallow You may well feel sick, or get that stomach churning feeling Physical anxiety symptoms result from the body re-directing resources to the major muscle groups your legs/arms and chest, providing them with an energy boost to prepare us for action. The same happens with panic or panic attacks. It's usually instantaneous and more intense - for when panic occurs the danger is usually more sudden.
You may feel frightened You may well tell yourself that we are physically ill, having a heart attack or a stroke or even going mad!! You feel you must escape and get to a safe place Our Behaviour: You may start to make excuses to avoid going out or doing things You may have a drink or take a tablet before doing something we find stressful Remember that you will feel sad or sometimes have ANXIETY SYMPTOMS but you are at times happy IT IS at these happy times feeling strong, brave and confident to do more, to listen to a Binaural beat make time for this. Use the times when you feel confident to help you when you are feeling low, but with practice and use of Binaural beats you will reduce the bad feelings and increase the good ones. Remember no matter how small feelings exist at the moment - THEY DO EXIST. |
